City Gate FC was established in 2024, but its roots go much deeper — it’s a revival of a legacy.

Born from the memories of an old, forgotten club where our elders once played, City Gate FC is named after the gate that stood at the city’s edge — a symbol of beginnings. Today, the club stands as both a tribute and a fresh start.

Our foundation is built by a dedicated group of young footballers — talented, determined, and united by a shared sense of purpose rooted in our community. These players chose loyalty over limelight, turning down opportunities at bigger clubs to be part of something deeply meaningful — to build a team from the ground up, for the people, by the people.

Our roots may be local, but our spirit is universal — City Gate FC is open to all who share a love for football and our drive to write the next chapter of our story.
